Aldea Mar’s prior agreement covered bulk television only, with residents paying retail rates for internet service outside the community’s bulk program. Vitalis ran a highly competitive RFP procurement process through the Vitalis Marketplace, soliciting proposals from five providers and presenting the board with a clear side-by-side comparison of the market. The board president reviewed the results and approved moving forward immediately, opting to expand the community’s bulk program to include internet rather than wait years for the existing contract term to run out.
