LAKE WORTH, FL – Vitalis Smart Communities, the nation’s leading telecom advisory firm, negotiated a new bulk fiber television and internet agreement for Smith Farm, a 1,242-home community, over two years before the existing contract’s expiration.
With Smith Farm’s prior agreement set to run through January 2029, the community’s board engaged Vitalis to assess its options. Vitalis ran a competitive process across six providers, leveraging the VitalisOS platform to benchmark proposals and track contract terms in real time. The team then worked directly with the board to structure a new bulk fiber deal with the community’s provider, one that could take effect immediately rather than waiting years for the existing contract to expire.
The new agreement reduces the community’s internet costs, secures a six-figure signing bonus paid directly to the association, and delivers meaningfully upgraded internet speeds along with next-generation Wi-Fi equipment for residents.
“By engaging us early, the community was in a better position to evaluate their options and negotiate with the incumbent. We project this agreement will generate more than $10 million in savings for the community across the term of the contract,” said Maz Khan, President and Co-Founder, Vitalis Smart Communities.
Over the course of five months, from LOA signature to contract execution, Vitalis managed the entire process, from soliciting and evaluating proposals to negotiating the final agreement, while maintaining the board’s relationship with its provider.
“This is what a bespoke approach to telecom advisory looks like,” said Carlos Pleitez, Vice President of Community Relations, Vitalis Smart Communities. “We combined our market knowledge with our proprietary technology to structure an agreement that meets Smith Farm’s needs today and positions the community well as technology continues to evolve.”
