JACKSONVILLE, FL – Vitalis Smart Communities secured a new bulk fiber agreement that reduced internet costs for both the owner and residents at a 234-unit multifamily community in Jacksonville, Florida, generating nearly $150,000 in additional net operating income for the property’s institutional owner.
The deal was modeled directly on a win Vitalis had already delivered with the same internet service provider at another property in the owner’s portfolio. That outcome was strong enough that the ownership group asked Vitalis to replicate the same provider and terms at the Jacksonville community.
The opportunity surfaced through Vitalis’s ongoing portfolio-wide audit of the owner’s multifamily holdings, a systematic review of every property in the portfolio, not just assets coming up for renewal, that has now generated more than $15 million in aggregate value for the owner across savings, NOI gains, and service upgrades.
“Our portfolio audits are designed to be a systematic analysis across every property an owner holds to see where value can be added to their telecom strategy. This owner was thrilled with what we delivered on another asset in their portfolio, so we moved quickly to bring that same provider, terms, and structure to this asset in Jacksonville” says Heather Haley, VP of Multifamily.
Vitalis continues to audit the remainder of the owner’s portfolio for similar opportunities, giving institutional multifamily operators a repeatable way to capture savings and service improvements across every asset they hold.
